These women are heroes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nAda Lovelace \u2013 the first computer programmer.\n<\/li>\n<li>\nThe ENIAC Programmers \u2013 a team of 6 women who, during Word War II, helped the US government secretly program the first all-electronic programmable computer.\n<\/li>\n<li>\nRadia Perlman\u2013 the Mother of the Internet\n<\/li>\n<\/li>\n<p>Grace Hopper \u2013developed COBOL and other computer languages, which are still in use today.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These women helped to pave the way for future female generations, who desire nothing more than to succeed in the tech world.<\/p>\n<p>There are so many inspiring women in the WordPress ecosystem across the globe, who have stepped into the modern day shoes of predecessors.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nIpstenu (Mika) \u2013 WordPress support forum contributor\n<\/li>\n<li>\nHelen Hou-Sandi \u2013 WordPress lead developer\n<\/li>\n<li>\nSara Cannon \u2013 Make\/UI blog\n<\/li>\n<li>\nRachel Baker \u2013 creator of a Bootstrap theme\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If we compare Active participation of Women in Global WordPress ecosystem with Indian WordPress ecosystem, Few questions that come to mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nWhere are the women Indian WordPress ecosystem?\n<\/li>\n<li>\nWhy aren\u2019t they participating?\n<\/li>\n<li>\nAnd when are they participating?
